Certa Stampa – NUOVE ENERGIE REPLY TO THE MAJORITY’S NOTE ON PAOLO GATTI: “AFFECTED BY THE FIRST HEATS INSTEAD OF TAKING CARE OF THE CITY THEY WASTE TIME IN USELESS ATTACKS”
Descriptive text here

The first heat of spring hits the “majority council groups” in the municipality of Teramo, who, instead of dealing with the city and its desolate situation, decide to waste time in personal attacks, more usual, on Paolo Gatti.

They must not have noticed that Paolo Gatti obtained 3648 preferences in Teramo, making him, by far, the most voted in Teramo.

By gratuitously insulting him, they do nothing but offend an important part of the city they are supposed to manage, and by talking about his presumed defeat, they are on a collision course with reality.

When they then write that 10,878 preferences would represent a clear rejection, they border on the grotesque of the most incredible flat-eartherism,

Which perhaps the authors of the note themselves realize to the extent that names and acronyms are missing and are signed with a generic “majority groups in the Municipality”: many councilors of the same majority would really struggle to put their signature on a communicated so psychedelic.

What’s more: they give a terrible example of poor sportsmanship, given that the political opponent who wins by a landslide should be congratulated and wished for a good job, and they demonstrate, once again, little education and little institutional courtesy.

In short, it seems that today’s city administrators have not digested Paolo Gatti’s return in grand style and have not understood that they must collaborate with the Region, in the interests of the city, beyond political affiliations.

Yet it shouldn’t be so complicated to understand that you can’t lock yourself away in your own increasingly narrow backyard.

But on the other hand, from those who had as their exclusive objective the degattization of the city, and who have miserably failed in this objective, one cannot expect even an understanding of the most elementary rules of civil coexistence and respect for the institutions.

Finally, while we’re at it: on the timing of public works, it will be a good idea to ask the Mayor of Torricella how to plan, contract, carry out the works and return the Town Hall to the citizens, given that that of Teramo, in six long years, has not seen not even the executive planning.

Perhaps help will be asked from the Region for this too?

While it will be convenient to ask some Saint in September in which year the havoc of the endless construction site in Piazza Garibaldi will be able to end.

HERE IS THE NOTE FROM THE MUNICIPALITY THAT THE COUNCILOR FALVIO BARTOLINI (PD) HAS NOT GIVEN US ABOUT PAOLO GATTI

The statement made in recent days by the now incoming councilor Paolo Gatti is clearly surprising, whose declarations give rise to important doubts about how, in many years of local institutional roles covered, he does not know the timescales for carrying out the works starting from obtaining the funds. In fact, however, not even a strategically relevant work for the City of Teramo implemented by him or by his political party comes to mind.

Moreover, from 2018, through the 2023 administrative elections, the Teramo community, in addition to choosing and confirming the administration of Gianguido D’Alberto, has also reiterated a firm rejection of Paolo Gatti’s political team and of Paolo Gatti himself, increasingly victim of his own personalistic attitudes and of a policy aimed exclusively at obtaining consensus rather than the common good.

The arrogance displayed by his words, aimed at criticizing this majority on how relations should exist between the Municipality and the Region does nothing other than confirm how he has been and continues to be absent from the political administration of the City of Teramo, after all speaks of funds put in place by Marsilio, which not only were allocated by the previous centre-left council, but which his “dear friend” Marco Marsilio actually cut substantially, putting at risk the realization of certain works, one above all the former asylum.

Once the electoral tips have been archived – given that otherwise the funds announced a few days before the vote cannot be considered – it is time to start giving back to the territory what it rightfully deserves. If Gatti really had the fate of our city at heart, beyond political affiliations he should first of all fist bump with his majority to give back to Teramo those 10 million stolen from the citadel of culture project, after the fool he himself committed with election campaign announcements. Just as he should fight to have adequate resources allocated for his city for local public transport, for the bus station or even to have the Via Longo project financed, awarded at a national level precisely for its ability to combine the social protection of the weakest and urban regeneration.

With certain statements we understand the difficulty that Paolo Gatti suffers in digesting how this Administration has managed, in just five years, to restore that city that the centre-right, of which he himself was an expression, had left in a state of profound crisis – just remember the issue of derivatives, which has cost Teramo so much, with the Municipality having to pay up to 400,000 euros a year – but we equally believe that the time has come to make peace with the past and look to the future and the common good .

Don’t worry about the rebirth and regeneration of the city. What speaks for us are the open construction sites and those about to start thanks to the extraordinary planning and planning work carried out by this administration and the related funds obtained. And rest assured also about the correct institutional relationships, which have never been lacking on the part of this municipal administration despite the correct defense of our City.

We leave the politics of using entities for one’s own consent, the politics of the small backyard, of insults and distortion of reality to others. We think only of the good of the city of Teramo and its community. It’s time for Paolo Gatti, once and for all, to start doing the same.
