MODENA. In Modena the parking fees they adjust for inflation and from Monday 16 May a is expected 5 cents touch-up for some types of hourly parking on the road, while remain unchangedas already happened last year, the costs for all types of subscriptions: from Minitickets for green ZTL permits to avenue and edge passes for residents, from those for workers in the center area to subsidized passes at the Center Parking for green ZTLs, up to those at the ex-Moi.
The increase does not even affect hourly parking at the Center car park (Novi Park).
THE ADAPTATION APPROVED BY THE COUNCIL
The adaptation to the Istat values approved in recent days by the Council is an automatic procedure foreseen by the contract with Modena Parcheggithe company that manages parking in the city, but it wanted to avoid an increase on all tariff items (between November 2016 and October 2023 the growth of the national index was almost 19 percent) and it was defined a balance of the Economic Financial Plan that limits increases to some hourly rates.
Furthermore, it is confirmed the company’s commitments to continue the private security and surveillance activity within the Centre’s car park this year tooas well as the suspension of the shuttle service while waiting to define a remodulation of the activity to increase its effectiveness in relation to the catchment area.
It grows by almost 5 thousand eurosInstead, the annual fee owed by Modena Parcheggi spa to the Municipality.
THE INCREASE IN DETAIL
The 5 cent increases concern in particular the hourly parking on the Avenues (from 1.40 to 1.45), while those of “internal margins” (1.05), “external margins” (70 cents) and for seats near the historic center (2.15).
The “external margin” rate is also the one applied to the parking of the Creativity Park in the square dedicated to the Panini family (formerly Amcm) and remains unchanged at 70 cents per hour.
In Dante square the 5 cent increase is only for the second hour (from 2.35 to 2.40), while the first hour remains at 1.65 and the third at 2.95. At the former Moi the increase is only for 12 hours (from 5.20 to 5.25), while the hourly rate remains at 0.70 and that for six hours at 2.60.
Also in Piazza Sant’Agostino the increase affects only the first hour (from 2.35 to 2.40) while the rate for the second hour (2.95) and that of the third (3.55) remains unchanged.
To the Parking in the Center and in Novi Sadby decision of Modena Parcheggi, the 5 cent increase is not triggered due to inflation and the rates, therefore, remain unchanged (1.40 cents per hour during the day, 50 cents per hour at night), just as subscriptions do not increase.
THE APP TO PRAY FOR PARKING IN THE DOWNTOWN
Furthermore, starting from Monday 16 May, it will be possible to pay for parking in the Center car park via theBmove app already usable for paying for parking on the road.
The use of Bmove, downloadable on all iOS and Android devices, in addition to allowingexperience of using the “freeflow” parking (i.e. by associating the vehicle license plate to your account via smartphone, it is possible to enter and exit the car park without using any ticket) will allow you to benefit from a promotional discounted rate.
For customers who use Bmove, in fact, the daytime hourly rate will be equal to 1.20 (20 cents discount) and the night-time hourly rate will be equal to 0.40, with 10 cents discount.
