A couple was sent to trial by the preliminary hearing judge of the Court of Pescara for sexual assault against a minor under 12 years old
The minor is the daughter of the arrested person’s partner. The events occurred in a town in central Abruzzo. The man, who is 43 years old, was framed thanks to the cameras and bugs placed in the house by the police.
The direct surveillance was decided after the minor had told everything to a friend, who reported the information to the child’s natural father who then reported the incident. In the story the victim had focused on the man’s morbid attentions towards her. The military, who intervened in real time, arrested him in flagrante delicto.
The investigations revealed that the man’s attentions had continued for about a year. So the police, after installing cameras in the house, witnessed the violence live and intervened promptly. The 43-year-old’s partner, the minor’s natural mother, has had her parental rights suspended.
