For the second and final Selective North West Zone, the Italian MX Junior Championship will stop on the weekend of 27 and 28 April on the Siena circuit of Chiusdino, marking the conclusion of the regional qualifying phase, the second of this season after the intense challenges of Cremona on March 10th.

This stage, already considered the decisive race for access to the finals, offers the last opportunity to qualify for the Italian Championship.

But it will also be a decisive day for the Debutants, who will compete for the prestigious “Future Cup”. This trophy, rich in history, was lifted by drivers who later went on to shine at an international level. However, for them it will represent the only valid way to access the finals in the Cadet category, reserved exclusively for the top three classified!

At the same time, the exciting challenge of the Challenge Yamaha bLU cRU continues in all classes, a special classification that opens the doors to the European final.

Track ready in Chiusdino where the organizer Chiusdino MX Park, manager of the event in collaboration with the promoter Off Road Pro Racing, has set up the track in the best possible way by making interesting changes both from a technical and spectacular point of view, in the starting area and of arrival, inserting a more technical section to add further selection to the challenges, now bringing the development of the track to around 1,850 metres. The paddock area has also been expanded to accommodate the drivers with their campers and workshop trucks in the best possible way.

Around 180 competitors will take to the track over the weekend, divided between the 125, Senior, Junior, Cadet and Debutante classes.
The program includes 27 official tests from 11am on Saturday and, to follow, the various qualifying sessions. Sunday Warm up from the morning and, in succession, the various category finals which will award the points necessary for access to the national finals. In the weekend’s rich programme, in addition to the races reserved for national selections, a space has also been reserved for First Steps, a real riding course for children, including beginners, held by Federmoto technicians.

The protagonists of the weekend
The crowded 125 class promises to be highly spectacular where the protagonist in the provisional ranking is the local driver Brando Rispoli (TM – Torre della Meloria), born in Grosseto in 2007, who boasts 250 points, in order ahead of the Lombard Riccardo Pini (MCV Motorsport) with 210 points. In third place is Alessandro Traversini from Arezzo (Ktm – MC La Rocca Asd) with 170.

The ranking of the Yamaha bLU cRU eighth-litre challenge sees the Ligurian Giorgio Orlando (Yamaha – Liguria Racing) in the lead, ahead of the Lombard Gabriele Rossi (Yamaha – Lumezzane) and the Piedmontese Riccardo Perrone (Yamaha – Lumezzane).

Among the Seniors of the 85cc (motorcycles up to 85cc 2T – up to 150cc 4T), the strong Lombard rider Edoardo Riganti (Husqvarna – MC Gorlese – Manetta Team) won by a large margin the only heat held in Cremona and is the current red table of these selectives with 250 points. In second place is another Lombard, with Luis Santeusanio (Ktm – Mariano Comense) with 210 points, while in third place is Andrea Uccellini (Husqvarna – AU 353 Motorsport) from Arezzo with 170 points.

In the Yamaha bLU cRU Senior 85 challenge, the leader in the provisional championship ranking is the Piedmontese Nicolo Bertacco (Yamaha – Unione Sportiva Armeniese). In second place the Lombard Vico Tancredi (Yamaha – Pinerolo Quadrifoglio) and third the Sardinian Francesco Grosso (Yamaha – Il Castello Sardara).

And we are at Junior 85 (motorcycles up to 85cc 2T – up to 150cc 4T), where the Lombard Pietro Riganti (Husqvarna – MC Gorlese – Manetta Team) imitated his brother in the major category, winning the category by a landslide, winning the only final of the day and putting 250 points in the bag. Behind him we find another Lombard, Dominick Maifredi (Ktm – Berbenno), one step below the winner with 210 points, but already with excellent speed in his first year in the higher category. Third position for another Lombard Giacomo Dondè (GasGas – 3MX Motorsport) who grabbed the podium in Cremona in the final laps of the race after a start close to the top-5 and now with 170 points.

The ranking of the Junior 85 Yamaha bLU cRU challenge sees the Piedmontese Thomas Bertacco (Yamaha – Unione Sportiva Armeniese) in the front row, preceding the Lombard Vico Tancredi (Yamaha – Pinerolo Quadrifoglio) and the Sardinian rider Francesco Grosso (Yamaha – Il Castello) third Sardara).

We change displacement by moving to the smaller ones, with the Cadetti 65 (motorcycles up to 65 2Tcc), where Nicolo Fratacci (Ktm – MC Verolese) will arrive in Chiusdino as leader with the red plate, thanks to two heats at the top, with a first and a second place, in the previous Lombard test. To his opponent Brando Danesi (Husqvarna – GS Fiamme Oro), unlucky in the first heat where he finished 15th and winner in race 2 after having led the entire session, the second step of the podium of the day which he will want to improve on Tuscan soil. Daniel Corda (Ktm – Il Castello Sardara) is currently in third position after recording a fourth and third place in Cremona.

The Lombard Francesco Vitale (GS Fiamme Oro) is the leader in the Yamaha bLU cRU Cadetti 65 challenge, ahead of the Sardinian Samuel Cugusi (Yamaha – Lazzaretto).

And we are at the youngest practitioners, the Debutantes 65 (motorcycles up to 65 2Tcc)Where the first three protagonists are all Lombards. Gabriel Negri (GasGas – 3MX Motorsport) has so far been the best at maneuvering in the first round, and in both heats he was the fastest, always crossing the finish line ahead of everyone and now he has to manage the 500 points achieved. In second position with 380 points is Edoardo Beretta (GasGas – Berbenno), then Filippo D. Zanelli (Husqvarna – Verolese) with 270 points.

The patrol of Tuscan pilots was also well-fed, lined up in their respective classes, with over 40 presences coming from all the provinces of the region.

The Paddock has a restaurant and bar and on this occasion, on Friday and Saturday evenings, it will also be possible to enjoy the excellent variety of pizzas on the menu.

The Chiusdino MX Park, a historic national and regional competition circuit and training venue for some of the biggest names in cross-country skiing, presents the Siena track in perfect condition.
