A young man of just 16 years of age, Cristian Pulito, was tragically involved in a road accident in the province of Taranto, becoming yet another road victim
The accident occurred in Leporano, shortly before midnight, along the “Luogovivo” municipal road, one of the main access routes to the Salento coast.
Cristian, originally from Taranto, leaves behind a brother and a sister. He was traveling in an Opel Astra driven by a 28-year-old man, currently hospitalized in critical condition at the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Taranto.
The causes of the accident are still to be clarified, but it is known that the car hit a wall, causing it to collapse. It is assumed that the wall belonged to the fence of the house of a municipal employee. The emergency services and the Carabinieri intervened at the scene of the accident.
The body of the young Cristian was transferred to the morgue of the Leporano cemetery, from where he will be taken to the Our Lady of Fatima church in Leporano for his funeral, which will be held on Saturday 30th at 11:00. Mayor Vincenzo Damiano expressed his shock and pain at the loss of such a young boy, and will go to the site of the accident to express condolences to the family.
