(ANSA) – BOLZANO, MARCH 27 – The police commissioner of Bolzano, Paolo Sartori, has issued four «daspo» against three Suedtirol fans and a steward of the Druso stadium. The provision refers to scuffles that occurred last February 10, during the match between Suedtirol and Venezia. The course of events was reconstructed by the scientific police thanks to the images recorded by the numerous cameras in operation in the stadium. The clashes were triggered by the lighting of a smoke torch by supporters of the home team on the north steps. A steward intervened considering the danger of the situation, but he was attacked by some fans who wanted to prevent the removal of the torch. Three other stewards came to the aid of their colleague, but one of these, according to the police reconstruction, went too far by repeatedly attacking some Suedtirol supporters and even punching one of them in the face. Another steward was pushed and made to fall between the seats
below. The intervention of other stewards and fans made it possible to bring the situation back to calm. The police commissioner ordered the four affected by the “daspo” to be banned from accessing (for a period of one year for the three fans, and for three years for the steward) all places where football matches are held on national territory, relating at the national professional and semi-professional championships, at international tournaments, at friendly matches as well as in all places interested in carrying out training sessions for the teams involved in these championships and in the competitions that take place as part of the activities foreseen by the FIGC.
