Saltini was hit around the neck by the blade and was taken to the emergency room by ambulance, although his condition is not expected to be serious.

The exhibition Gratia Plena it ended up at the center of controversy afterwards the complaint presented by numerous faithful from Forlì, Ravenna and Bologna represented by the Forlì lawyer Francesco Minutillo. Archbishop Erio Castellucci, the artist Saltini and the curators of the exhibition had been included in the file. However, the prosecutor’s office immediately asked for the case to be dismissed.
Even if the lawyer Minutillo he immediately announced battle to the magistrates’ decision: “We will firmly oppose the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, which appears to us to be devoid of adequate reasons and indeed legally inconsistent and even surreal in the part in which they cite a case dealt with by the Supreme Court in which an artist was actually condemned for having demonstrated contempt for the Catholic religion denying the institution and its essential components (dogmas and rites) the reasons for value and merit recognized by the community and becoming a mere offense as an end in itself”.
