In Ancona, Polfer personnel reported a 41-year-old Italian citizen at liberty for the crime of threatening a public official on board the train.
In particular, the compartmental Operations Room received a request for intervention on board the regional train headed to Pescara due to the presence of two people, a man and a woman, who had boarded the Ancona station without a train ticket.
When asked by the train conductor to provide his personal details to be able to raise the expected fine and therefore continue their journey to Pescara, the place where they were headed, the man provided his personal details, categorically refusing to also provide those of the woman accompanying him. The conductor’s attempts to explain that in order to continue the journey together he would have to provide both of them’s personal details were in vain, otherwise the woman would have to get off the train. At that point the traveler stood up and began to rant at the train conductor, threatening him, so much so that he was forced to move into another car and block the interconnecting doors which were hit with punches and kicks by the even more agitated man. In the meantime, the train conductor contacted the Compartment Operations Room in order to request the intervention of the Police Force, describing in detail to the operator what was happening, until the two subjects decided to get off at the Pedaso station where they promptly a patrol from the Carabinieri of the Fermo Company was sent and tracked down and identified the strange couple. The man was investigated while at liberty for threatening a public official.
