The Cuffarians of the DC wanted to keep two positions still vacant on the list. It seems that in these last hours the party leaders are continuing the discussion with the city councilor Giuseppe Morselli, who had already been contacted a few weeks ago by the entourage of the engineer Cosentino’s coalition. The discussions have resumed in recent days. Morselli is the current group leader of “Un’Altra Gela”, the political group founded by mayor Lucio Greco. In these years of administration, he was among the mayor’s contacts at the civic meeting. It seems that the confrontation with the DC arose in recent days, after shared experiences in the Greco administration, which ended rather abruptly. There was a clear rift between the Cuffarians and the mayor. Now, political ties could revive. The DC, first of all through Commissioner Giuseppe Licata, former councilor of the Greco council and convinced supporter of the engineer Cosentino’s race, is one of the main components of the broad pact between moderates and the centre-right. Morselli could be an electorally important addition, perhaps as proof of the attempt to iron out political differences that seemed clear, strengthened by the evident skepticism demonstrated by the lawyer Greco regarding the entry into the field of the engineer Cosentino, former municipal manager and current technical reference of Impianti Srr, the in-house waste service. Precisely on the waste system front, there has never been a lack of profound divergences between the municipal administration and the in-house management.
