Appointment between literature and music this afternoon – Wednesday 26 June – at Villa Recalcati. At 18the presentation of two books published by Zecchini Editore where music is the absolute protagonist will be held in the Conference Room.

The two books, which in recent years have received particular acclaim from critics and the public, are “Side Notes 2” And “Music will save us”both written by Davide Ielmini, journalist and music critic from Varese, who will talk about it in a dialogue with George Rodolfo Marinidoctor and conductor.

The first volume, with prefaces by Giorgio Gaslini, Gabriele Cassone, Giovanni Nuti, Patrizia Laquidara and Max De Aloe, is a collection of stories in which everything is music, exaltation of music and illusion of music. A world that looks at itself from ever different perspectives to ask itself “what will we have left of all these notes?”.

“Music will save us”, instead, it was written in the dark years of the pandemic and imagines a future for music with original and courageous proposals. Because “music will save us if we save music”.

Davide Ielmini he has a degree in sociology of music and mass culture, he has written essays, short stories and fables. He has collaborated and collaborates with numerous national newspapers (Corriere della Sera, Alias, MUSICA, Ritmo, Jazzit). Some of his contributions can be found in some publications of the Northeastern University Press, the Catholic University of Milan and the University of Imperia. Others were recited by Rosalina Neri and Serena Nardi.

Giorgio Rodolfo Marini, he perfected himself at the school of the greatest Italian and foreign masters, including Hans Priem Bergrath, Ferenc Nagy, Emil Simon and Ervin Acel.
