By popular demand, “I Cesaroni” is about to return with the seventh season, a cult series about the extended Roman family who lived in the authentic Garbatella neighborhood. Confirming the news, which had been circulating for some time, was Claudio Amendolathe undisputed star of the series based on the Spanish format of “Los Serranos”, who will be a guest at the BCT Festival in Benevento made the long-awaited announcement: «We will start shooting in November The Cesaroni 7».
After 142 episodes, six seasons (and 10 years after the last one) the machine is ready to start again. Amendola added further details, specifying that the writing team is finishing the screenplay: «Then I will dedicate myself to editing the fiction “Il Patriarca 2” which I recently finished shooting.
After that, the first set I will return to work on will be that of Cesaroni». The Roman actor also underlined the deep affection he has for the series and for his character, recognizing, at the same time, the great sense of responsibility, which comes from the expectations of the public.
The success of the seventh season will depend, in fact, on the script and then on the involvement of the original cast. However, one certainty has already emerged: Alessandra Mastronardi will not be there. The Neapolitan actress, who had achieved fame with the character of Eva Cudicini in “I Cesaroni”, clarified in a recent interview that if the fiction had restarted, she would not have been in it. On the other hand, a few months ago, Elena Sofia Ricci (aka Lucia Liguori) appeared on Instagram while watching an episode of the series: a coincidence? “Pots and glasses have been there since yesterday, I’m going out to do the shopping then I’ll gladly help you…”.
