Wicked changes its big screen debut date: in the United States, the first part will arrive earlier.

Apparently Wicked will bring forward its theatrical debut, at least in the United States. The date previously set for the November 27, 2024 it has been replaced and brought forward to November 22, 2024. It is simply a week’s difference, which will allow the curious public to meet in advance Elphaba e Glinda interpreted in this case by Cynthia Eviro e Ariana Grande. But why this change?

Both students at the University of Shiz, they will end up forming a strong friendship that will be further strained after an encounter with the Wizard of Oz.

It first became a musical, which marked for years BroadwayWicked is now headed to theaters with Cynthia Eviro and Ariana Grande leading a star-studded cast. In fact, it also involves Michelle Yeoh who will be Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey who will instead play the charming Fiyero and Ethan Slater which will be Boq. Jeff Goldblum will be tasked with playing the cunning Wizard. Having a lot of material at his disposal, inspired by the novel and also by the Broadway show, the director decided that Wicked would hit the big screen in two blocks: the first is expected in November 2024, while the second in November 2025.
