The meeting between the Prefect of Caserta Giuseppe Castaldo and a delegation from the board of directors of Study and advanced training center for masters of workThe association, whose activity is foreseen by the law establishing the honor, has been operating in the territory for five decades to fulfill its mission.

The institutional meeting took place, in an atmosphere of great cordiality, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Olivetti Museum of Caserta and the centenary of the institution’s star for merit for work.

On this occasion, the Prefect was informed of the enormous amount of work carried out by the numerous volunteer members of the association, mainly from the industrial world, the Ministry of Education and various private activities.

In particular, the difficulties that the Adriano Olivetti Dynamic Museum of Technology has met since its foundation in 2014. This museum, created thanks to the will of the then president of the province, has transformed the prestigious Villa Vitrone in a cultural center and in the headquarters of the Department of Culture of the province. A place intended for the academic world, society and students.

Unfortunately, with the change of administrations, the Polo was completely abandoned. However, the Olivetti museum continues to be managed thanks to the commitment of the Masters of Work. Unfortunately there is no information regarding the sports museum and the prestigious Nino Cortese Library which had more than ten thousand volumes.

“Despite the enormous logistical challenges faced, the Olivetti museum has continued to operate actively involving schools, universities and local companies”has explained Mauro Nemesio Rossipresident of CeSAF (Masters of Labour) – We have oriented hundreds of young people with seminars, conferences, courses and master’s degrees and also put them in contact with the world of work, in order to keep our mission and the prestige of the museum high.

A unique event in all of southern Italy, and second in the world after that of Ivrea. We are here not to talk about the past but about future programs, and the latest partnership agreements with the Vanvitelli University, Department of Economics. An agreement that includes the establishment of prizes for the best theses of the department and the “Museo Diffuso” where many finds will be visible at the economics library of Capua. Masters will be organized regarding the organization of the company, the history of Olivetti as well as the industrialization of Terra di Lavoro in the seventies of the last century, which for this reason was called the Brianza of the South”.

The prefect gave the availability of his cabinet and declared himself ready to participate in the courses and seminars that the museum will organize in the future. The CeSAF gave the prefect the books published by the museum including: “Alvignano and its archpriest”, “Masters of work in black shirts” and an anastatic copy of the Statute of San Leucio, the delegation was composed of the mdl Angelo Iovinella, by the secretary of the CeSAF mdl Giovanni Izzo and by the mdl Oreste Manzella.
