Radon gas restoration, a unique course in the Biella area arrives at Città Studi

Radon gas represents a significant public health concern, especially inside buildings, where it can accumulate and reach dangerous concentrations. This radioactive gas, resulting from the natural decomposition of uranium in soil and rocks, is invisible and odorless, but prolonged exposure can cause serious breathing problems and increase the risk of lung cancer.

Radon gas restoration, a unique course in the Biella area arrives at Città Studi

The Biella area is particularly subject to this problem: hence the need to train competent personnel to deal with the Radon problem effectively and safely. Città Studi, which has always been attentive to the needs of the territory and committed for years to spreading the culture of safety, has decided to activate the course “Experts in radon gas restoration interventions”, unique in the Biella area.

Course duration 60 hours

Lasting 60 hours, this training course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to monitor and mitigate radon gas in buildings. It is aimed at professionals qualified for the design of building works, registered in the professional register, offering a training course that covers a vast range of topics: from natural and artificial radioactivity to measurement and monitoring techniques, up to remediation and prevention actions. At the end, participants will be able to effectively manage the radon problem, helping to make buildings in the area safer and healthier.

The course issues a professional qualification for the role of expert technician in Radon gas rehabilitation and reclamation interventions (art.15 Legislative Decree 101/2020).
