Experts will examine the car which could provide a breakthrough in the investigation death of Marshal Luca Pulsinelli. The car, a Fiat Panda, was seized by the Carabinieri of the Castel di Sangro company. It belongs to a 54-year-old woman resident in Opi, who was entered in the register of suspects on charges of road homicide precisely in order to be able to carry out technical checks on her small car. That cursed evening of June 15th, the commander of the forestry carabinieri of Villetta Barrea, originally from Alvito and resident with his family in San Donato Valcomino, was returning home on his motorbike. While he was traveling along state road 83 “Marsicana”, he suddenly lost control of the Suzuki 600 he was traveling on, he went off the road on a curve and ended up against a stone wall of a house after hitting a concrete curb which in that stretch it runs alongside the road. The impact was fatal and every attempt by the rescuers to resuscitate him proved futile.
In those terrible moments, a group of cyclists and some cars were also traveling on the road. Precisely from the testimonies collected among those present, the carabinieri traced back to the Panda registered to the woman from Opi. According to witnesses, the car would have made a risky maneuver just when Marshal Pulsinelli arrived. The question is whether this maneuver could have played a role in the motorcyclist’s disastrous fall. Hence the report ordered on the Panda by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Sulmona, which coordinates the investigations. The marshal’s Suzuki is also available to the judicial authority. A tragedy that has severely affected the Army, the forestry carabinieri and the fellow villagers Pulsinelli and the communities of Pescasseroli and Villetta Barrea where he served. Colleagues and friends immediately rallied around the marshal’s wife and daughter and his family. A choral, sincere, heartbreaking condolence, which materialized last Tuesday in the collective embrace of the marshal’s family for the final farewell, with the church of San Simeone Profeta in Alvito unable to contain everyone.
