Gratarola new member of the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control

The regional councilor for health Angelo Gratarola he will be one of the two members who will be part of the renewed party for the Conference of the Regions Strategic Committee of the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control. The appointment was made official today during the State-Regions Conference.

Among the tasks of the Committee are the analysis of health risks, the verification of surveillance and active prevention plans with the Regions, the support for national alert and rapid response systems also with reference to bioterrorism, the design of programs – also of a management experimentation – primary, secondary and tertiary prevention, the promotion of health performance evaluation programs.

As part of these activities, the Ccm supports the Ministry of Health, among other things, in the analysis of the epidemiological picture, in the identification and evaluation of risks to human health deriving from infectious agents, environmental conditions and behavioral factors, in the identification prevention measures and continuity of care and socio-health integration paths, as well as in verifying the implementation of national surveillance and prevention plans. In carrying out its activities, the Ccm promotes practices of excellence, evidence based, with the aim of disseminating the operational models of prevention interventions that have given the best results and of sharing the experiences gained, thus strengthening the prevention network in Italy.

Another important nomination for Liguria arrived during the State-Regions Conference. The general director of the EO Galliera of Genoa Francesco Quaglia was listed as a member ofNational observatory of health professions.
