Ravanusa. “Inclusive playground” named after Samuele, an unborn child who died in the explosion in Via Trilussa

Samuele did not have time to be born, he died in his mother’s womb in the explosion in via Trilussa in Ravanusa, on 11 December 2021. Ten victims, including the little one who was about to be born, son of Selene Pagliarelloa thirty-year-old nurse working at the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Agrigento, in the ninth month of pregnancy, and Giuseppe Carmina.

Now Samuele will be remembered by all the children and families who attend the “Inclusive Playground”.

Salvatore Pitrola, mayor of Ravanusa, declares: “Thanks to the large family of the “Lions Club Ravanusa Campobello” for donating to our community the “inclusive playground” dedicated to “Samuele”, the child who was never born due to the unspeakable disaster.

Thanks to my team, to the associations, to the citizens and to those who will accompany us on this path of regeneration, of civilization, of community, of hope, of progress.

My Ravanusa must claim its rights, it must respect its duties, it must make its contribution to be reborn.

If you dream alone, it’s just a dream. If you dream together, reality begins.”
