“Loredana was everything for me. I think such great pain cannot be overcome. Marco Giallini enters the world of acting at the age of 22. In 1985 he enrolled at the School of Dramatic Art in Rome “La Scaletta”. He collaborates with numerous theater directors such as Arnoldo Foà, Ennio Coltorti and Angelo Orlando. Success with the public came in 2008 with the role of Il Terribile in the TV series Romanzo criminale, broadcast on the Sky Cinema 1 satellite channel. He took part in Carlo Verdone’s film Io, loro e Lara released in 2010. In 2009-2010 he was among the new protagonists of the famous crime TV series The new team, in the role of assistant commissioner Andrea Lopez. In 2010 he was among the protagonists of Sergio Castellitto’s film The beauty of the donkey. In 2011 he appeared in Tutti al mare, Matteo Cerami’s debut film. In 2012 he plays the role of a policeman in the dramatic film ACAB – All Cops Are Bastards, directed by Stefano Sollima, and is among the protagonists of the new film by Carlo Verdone Standing places in heaven: for these two roles in 2012 he won the Silver Ribbon for best supporting actor.
In 2016 he was among the protagonists of Assolo, a comedy written and directed by Laura Morante and, in the same year, he played the role of Rocco in Perfect strangers by Paolo Genovese, for which, in addition to obtaining a nomination for best leading actor at the David di Donatello 2016, he was awarded, again as best leading actor, at the Ciak d’oro and won the special Silver Ribbon, together with the entire cast of the film. Also in 2016 he played the title role in Rocco Schiavone, a television series broadcast on Rai 2 directed by Michele Soavi and based on the books by Antonio Manzini.
