The 3rd edition of the 7-a-side charity football tournament organized by Cus Mo.Re concluded yesterday

The 3rd edition of the 7-a-side charity football tournament organized by Cus Mo.Re with the patronage of the Municipality of Modena “3rd Cus Interforze Charity Tournament” at the Campo Giuseppe Ferrari of Monari Nasi ended on Wednesday 26 June.

The tournament reserved for police forces, joint forces, voluntary organizations and hospitals saw 9 teams take to the field: 118 Modena Soccorso, Military Academy, Carabinieri, Red Cross, Ness1 Escluso, Local Police, Traffic Police, Police Headquarters, Baggiovara Hospital Team.

The qualifying phase had as protagonists in the previous weeks the favorites Police Headquarters, Baggiovara Hospital, Traffic Police and Military Academy but in the quarter-finals as every year there was a big surprise, represented this year by the Carabinieri who after a start in quietly emerged in the long term, eliminating the Traffic Police with amazement.

The semi-finals held yesterday saw the Police Headquarters and the Carabinieri face each other in the derby with the former always ahead throughout the match but then overcome in the final by the Benemerita 4 to 3. Victory for the Military Academy over the Baggiovara Hospital Team in the other semi-final at end of a very hard fought match. It was decided by an individual play a few minutes before the end which channeled the match towards victory for the Academy.

In the final for 3-4 place, the Police Headquarters had a clear victory over Baggiovara Hospital with the police officers controlling the match from the start and only taking risks in the final. The final ends in a draw thanks to a late goal from a free kick by the Carabinieri. The final and the Tournament are therefore decided by penalty kicks where greater coolness rewards the Military Academy which wins the Tournament for the second time in three years.

Great applause to the guys from Ness1 Escluso who played with everyone and made this reality of excellence of our territory even more known also to those who are at the service of the community every day to once again send the message that “diversity it makes a difference and we believe in it.”

The evening then concluded with the awards ceremony and the classic ritual photos.

Finally, great satisfaction for the charity collection which also in this case competed to donate and allowed Cus Mo.Re to win the most important match in favor of the Giunti al Punto initiative “HELP US TO GROW – GIVE US A BOOK ” , the reading awareness campaign to spread the pleasure of reading starting from the little ones created by Libreria Giunti al Punto.
