I have a long contract.” Max Verstappen said this in the drivers’ press conference on Thursday ahead of the Austrian GP, reiterating his desire to continue in the team with which he won three world championships in a row.

Here the fast corners are fun, but with the escape routes that are there we always talk about track limits, about tires that overheat and this leads to understeer until going off the track by a few millimeters. With the gravel I hope to be more precise, but everything remains to be seen in action on the track” he then explained, speaking of an issue that created a lot of controversy last year. In the 2023 GP, the race direction targeted hundreds of incidents of exceeding the track limit, with sanctions for many drivers, some of whom were also unaware of having disobeyed. For this reason, the management of the Red Bull Ring has added gravel to some corners to reduce the track limits and avoid an excess of irregularities.
