Chronicle – Sarah Grieco’s pride: “The last edition hit the target: of the 16 participating students, 9 decided to continue their studies and enroll in university”
The second edition of the series of meetings held for inmates of the Cassino prison by the magistrates of the Cassino ANM section is underway. The initiative, promoted by the University of Cassino, began with an agreement between Unicas, Anm, prison, guarantor of prisoners in the Lazio region and the Bar Association.
The president of the penal section, Dr. Marcopido, the person responsible for the right to study in prison, Prof. Della Monica and the teacher of criminal execution, Prof. Sarah Grieco, launched the new series of seminars entitled “Lessons of Law” .
The lessons which will end in July, on a weekly basis, will see the judges Salvia, Pezzella and Falchi Delitala alternate. Numerous prisoners were involved, both ordinary and from the sex offenders section.
“The last edition hit the target: of the 16 participating students, 9 decided to continue their studies and enroll in university”, says a satisfied Sarah Grieco, who strongly believed in the project, contributing to its realization.
“We are grateful to the magistrates of the Court of Cassino who immediately made themselves available to implement this innovative and challenging study orientation experiment”, concludes Prof. Giuseppe Della Monica, responsible together with Prof. Roberto Poli, of the agreement.
