Villa Petriolo, the first villa-farm that tells the story of true sustainable luxury

Immersed in the suggestive hills of Cerreto Guidi, designed by olive groves and vineyards, a short distance from Florence and Pisa, near Empoli, we discover Villa Petriolo, a unique example of Renaissance farmhouse villa transformed into a luxury hospitality project that interprets the more authentic sustainability at the environmental, social and governance level.

“Villa Petriolo is a project born in the sixteenth century as a villa-farm, conceived to be self-sufficient and sustainable. These principles are reflected in our values of environmental, social, cultural and financial sustainability, which have allowed us to arrive to today. The commitment to sustainability, begun in the fifteenth century, continues in the twenty-first century. We start from the land and the Tuscan roots, involving local partners to offer experiences that go from farm to table, to hospitality, also collaborating with design companies such as Edra”, explains the general manager Daniele Nannetti.

Sustainability, the heart of the project

The love for a land is what moved the design idea in Daniel Nanettigeneral manager and founder, and its Partners Héctor Cuadra Muñoz and Maria Elena Aguado, a Mexican family, owner of the multinational brand of the same name known in the clothing sector, who were the first to see in Villa Petriolo, a 16th century village, an Italian monumental heritage that was owned by the noble Albizi and then Alessandri families, the natural fulcrum of a project to regenerate virtuous models and experiences of the past. A contemporary project that draws inspiration from local historical economies, capable, then as now, of making a business project sustainable.
