After the double-digit increase in April, the used motorcycle and scooter market maintains the positive trend also in May. Getting to the heart of the data, the transfers of ownership of motorcycles, net of mini-transfers, have resulted in a increase of 6.1% compared to May 2023. Speaking of figures, in the month just ended, 71,571 changes of ownership related to two wheels were recorded, compared to 67,475 in May 2024.
Evaluating the first five months of 2024, the sum of ownership changes compared to the period January-May 2023 is in positive territory. THE transfers of ownership of two-wheeled vehicles showed a growth of 6.2%. In numbers, this translates into 281,528 changes of ownership in 2024 versus 264,974 in 2023.
Radiation in the fifth month of the year also remains positive, which recorded a +6.3% in the month just ended compared to May 2023. In numbers, there were 11,061 motorcycle radiations, compared to 10,407 in the same period last year. Double-digit growth for radiation in the period January-May 2024; +12.6%. This translates into 55,716 radiations in the five months of 2024 compared to 49,493 of January-May 2023.
