The actor and former tronista dedicated a book, “Enough to Come Back”, to the tragedy that occurred in 1995
“If you share your pain you overcome it.” He is convinced of it Francesco Arcawhat a guest at very true in the best of episode broadcast on June 1st (the interview is from last March, ed) tells, without hiding his emotion, the tragedy that struck his family many years ago, when the fathermilitary paratrooper, is died in an accident whose contours have never been fully clarified.
The former tronista of Men and women dedicated a book, Just come back, released – not surprisingly – on the occasion of Father’s Day. A title that Arca explains like this: “Dad was a paratrooper, when he left he gave me recommendations: ‘Study, listen to mum’ and I told him: ‘Don’t worry, just come back’. It was an amulet that I had towards myself and towards him so I always said this phrase and in fact it always came back and so I said: ‘It works’”.
The accident – One day, however, the father never returned: “Dad went hunting” continues Francesco Arca in Silvia Toffanin’s living room, “he went out one morning and there was a alleged hunting accident and dad died on December 23, 1995. Investigations were made. In my way of seeing things, but it’s a personal opinion, I don’t even have the basis of the law, but humanly I say that something went wrong. Something they didn’t tell us in a version close to the truth.”
Doubts that the actor has because “they were there lots of inconsistencies which came out later. The case was closed, in the end you come to terms with it and move on, you try to understand that in life you can’t always arrive at the truth […]”.
The hope, however, is that one day the truth may arrive. “I close the book by saying that I hope it can awaken the conscience of those who were with him and that a truth can arrive. Passing away the anger I had towards this tragic situation – now my heart is calm – I would be ready to forgive in exchange for a pinch of truth” he admits.
Ark and the relationship with pain – An awareness that the protagonist of many Mediaset dramas has arrived at over time: “The pain remains, because the mistake I made as a boy was to throw away the pain, avoid it, I made a mistake because the pain must be gone throughaddressed and this book gave me the opportunity to do so […] I understood that if you share your pain you overcome it.”
Today Francesco Arca’s father rests in Sardinia, his native land. Here the actor has indeed brought the ashes of the parent explaining: “It is right that he rests in his places”. The journey to the island by his own admission “was beautiful, thanks to my children (Maria Sole and Brando born from the union with Irene Capuano, ed) which played down every second.”
