Florence, 2 July 2024 – The intense year of the Rotary Club Florence Brunelleschi. During the evening for the passing of the traditional presidential collar, Alfredo Meletti – outgoing president – delivered to the president of the Pane Quotidiano Association Luigi Maria Pernice and to the assistant marshal SUPS Roberto Valerio – Advisor to the Cure2Children Foundation – the proceeds from the Charity Concert “Per Firenze… canta Firenze!”. It was a great event dedicated to music and solidarity, organized by the Rotary Firenze Brunelleschi last May 13 at the Teatro Cartiere Carrara (formerly Tuscany Hall), which was a great success.
“During this year – explained Meletti – the service dedicated to the restoration of the “ was also concludedGarden of Encounters” by Sollicciano, created in collaboration with the Michelucci FoundationThe service in question had been started by our Club under the presidency of Alfredo Ingenito (between 2015 and 2016) and intended to redevelop a place where families – especially those with children – can pleasantly meet their loved ones in prison. A project that we members cared a lot about because it was created in memory of our Rotarian friend Fabrizio Arian. During the year – continues the outgoing president – the delivery of some defibrillators to the Municipality of Florence was also completed, destined for outdoor public spaces in our city. In this case, the service was born between 2018 and 2019, under the presidency of Daniele Guetta.
Other services that we would like to mention are those aimed at Food Bankto the district project “Rise against hunger”for which several local clubs have tried their hand at preparing food parcels destined for Zimbabwe, and the scholarship for a particularly deserving student of the Alberti Dante Art High Schoolwho with his artistic work intended to illustrate the poster for the concert last May, won a high-end laptop.”
