Foggia. The Municipality of Foggia announces the activation of local transport in the territory with a 50% discount on the cost of the monthly pass for the armed forces and the police forces. This initiative is the result of an agreement between the Unione Sindacale Militare Interforze Associati (USMIA) and the management, the competent departments of the Municipality and the managers of the ATAF company. The provision is effective from Monday 1 July 2024.
“The city administration is proud to support our armed forces and police with this important initiative,” said the president of the City Council, Lia Azzarone. “We recognize the value of our men and women in uniform and we are happy to be able to meet them with this benefit. This is a tangible sign of our appreciation for their service to the community. We also thank ATAF, for having immediately activated the procedures to make this benefit available, demonstrating a particular efficiency in working for initiatives of social value”.
