There is not no one is registered as a suspect in the death of young Marco Salvagnowho died on Friday afternoon in the construction site of the Boscolo Bielo company in Venice, and at this point all that remains is to wait to know the date of the funeral, which could be a matter of hours.
After the report by Spisal and the Carabinieri, the competent magistrate on the death of the 21-year-old he did not order an autopsy on the young man’s body which was delivered to the family for funeral arrangements.
Decisions that could therefore to support the hypothesis of a fortuitous and unfortunate accident and not of an accident at work. From the moments following the accident the theory had been put forward that Marco had kicked a glass door in a fit of rage shattering it and fatally injuring himself with a shard of glass that had severed the popliteal artery, which is located immediately behind the knee, and bleeding to death despite having tried, as can be seen from the closed-circuit television cameras, to drag himself for a few metres to ask for help from his colleagues.
Spisal and the Carabinieri have viewed the images of that dramatic afternoon and, evidently, have come to the same conclusions. Why the boy was so angry that he kicked the glass door is not known.
In the meantime, the family continues to receive numerous expressions of affection, especially towards grandfather Angelo who raised Marco like a son. Before the five-a-side football tournament “Giovani di Chioggia” a minute of silence was observed, while A torchlight procession is planned for Thursday, weather permitting.which should leave at 9pm from the Salesian oratory.
