The wait for the World Rugby u20 Championship is coming to an end, four days and the youth world cup will begin which will be held in South Africa for the second consecutive year.

There are twelve qualified teams, divided into three groups of four, who will compete in Cape Town, Athlone and Stellenbosch and who will compete with the reigning champions France for the under-20 world championship title.

The world championship which will start on Saturday 29 June with the first six matches, including that of Italy which will make its debut against Ireland, and which will end on Friday 19 July, will be entirely visible in free live streaming on RugbypassTV.

As mentioned, Roberto Santamaria’s Italy will play their first Pool B match against Ireland, then return to action on Thursday 4 July against Australia and close the qualifying round on Tuesday 9 July against Georgia.

The 2024 edition of the World Rugby u20 Championship will see the participation of Spain, who last year beat Uruguay in the final in the World Rugby u20 Trophy with a result of 39-32, thus qualifying for the South African World Cup.
