BAD WEATHER Dozens of people were displaced during the night between Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June in the Alpine valleys of Turin due to the consequences of the wave of bad weather.
A Locanain Valle Orco, 37 were transferred from a restaurant that was left isolated after a landslide. A Chialambertoa locality in Val Grande that was affected by a mudslide and debris yesterday, a condominium of 50 people was evacuated as a precaution. The firefighters also had to intervene in the plain. The provincial road 460 of Gran Paradiso has been closed. The landslides hit the localities of Zaunere and Fornolosa. In Noasca, where 172 mm of water fell, the waterfall formed by the Noaschetta torrent, well known to tourists and hikers, swelled to the point of covering the bridge on the road before flowing into the Orco.
The Tambach River overflows in Macugnaga
VERBANIA About 90 people were evacuated overnight Macugnaga, a locality in Verbano-Cusio-Ossola at the foot of Mount Rosa, due to the flooding of the Tambach stream. The areas affected are Staffa and Pecetto, where the water overflowed the banks and poured into the streets of the town.
