It certainly cannot be said that there is no debate about Alma in this strange summer for the fate of the company struggling with a management that is not exactly linear. Francesco Baldarelli, a “historical” fan of Fano, known to all as “Baldo”, intervenes in a personal capacity with the intention of putting everyone, sportsmen and the entire city, on notice. “We are faced with a choice that can change the history of Alma – writes Francesco Baldarelli – and I remember well that in February the president Russo wanted to disappear, then the new president Guida arrived and we managed to go forward until the end of the championship. Logically the difficulties are there for all to see, but a president who arrives in Fano, in my opinion, should be helped and not insulted, because in any case he has spent a few thousand euros and in today’s football I don’t know any presidents who carry on a company without sponsors”.

Having said this, “Baldo” adds: “Now Guida needs a hand from the municipal administration and the one that has taken office now, which I voted for, must decide whether to help this president or navigate the darkness of a failure that would erase 118 years of history. In Fano, no entrepreneur approaches because of the climate of protest and insults that has been sailing in the city for years. A protest made by about thirty people to the detriment of a city of 60 thousand inhabitants that wants to decide the fate of Alma. It does not seem right to me, just as I cannot decide it. I hope instead – concludes “Baldo” – that it is Mayor Serfilippi who decides, in conscience and without listening to anyone”. Ultras Fano also take a stand: “Ultras Fano believe that meeting Guida and listening to his intentions was not a mistake. We have always followed this practice with any president, including Navarra. Furthermore, having managed to finish the championship when with Russo there was not even the hope of having the team go on an away trip has pushed us to give a minimum of trust to this president and to monitor his actions. We had decided not to support him or defend him, but not even to hinder him or challenge him. Unfortunately Guida has betrayed our trust and has not respected the agreed terms. Today we do not believe he is capable of leading Fano. Regarding “Baldo”, he acts on his own initiative, certainly in good faith, but without following the indications of the group”.
