The second stage of the Tour de France 2024 the race is today, Sunday 30th June and once again we will remain in Italy: we will start from Cesenatico and you get to Bologna in a fraction that wants to remember an absolute champion, Marco Pantani. The stage of the Tour de France: route and altimetry of the Cesenatico-Bologna
After the arrival in Rimini, the route starts again from the Apennines of Central Italy to climb up to Bologna. An interesting fraction, especially in the second part, when after 70 kilometers of flatland, the Monticino hill is climbed, the first GPM of the day.
A short climb, only 2 kilometers but the first of many others that push towards Bologna. Among these, the Gallisterna that reaches almost 13% in just over 1,500 meters. Finally, you pass over the San Luca twice before the last kilometers, about ten of which are flat again.

Also on this second day of the Tour there will be room for one-day escapes, for those who are not aiming for the final ranking: the terrain is perfect for finding glory in Bologna while the favorites will control each other from start to finish.
