Cembra is preparing to welcome the Müller Thurgau exhibition

From 28 to 30 June, there will be 60 labels Müller Thurgau coming from Italy and abroad for tasting at Palazzo Maffei in Cembra, over 20 of the most representative productions of the area – including whites, reds and sparkling wines – offered in the nearby space “Out of Taste”. A rich program of initiatives will accompany it.

The engines are warming up for the 37th edition of the event Müller Thurgau: Mountain Winescheduled from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th June and presented today at a press conference in the presence of Alessandra Ferrazza, Mayor of Cembra Lisignago; Vera Rossi, President of the Cembra Valley Tourist Association; Rosario Pilati, Vice President of the Trentino Wine and Flavor Route; and Graziano Molon, director of the Trentino Wine Consortium.

The event, organized by Valle di Cembra Exhibition Committeeofficially kicks off Friday nightwith the traditional inauguration at Tre Maestri Park which will mark theopening from the doors of Palazzo Maffei.

In the rooms of the eighteenth-century palace in the historic center of Cembra, you can taste 60 labels from Müller Thurgau coming from different areas of Trentino, but also from Alto Adige, Val d’Aosta, Lombardy, Germany and the Czech Republic.

In the neighbor “Fuori di Taste” space instead, the protagonists will be the most representative productions of the territory with a selection of labels from the cellars of the Cembra Valley. To enrich the first evening of the event, the eighties and nineties music of the DJ Max Tstrictly on vinyl.

Saturday morning instead it opens with a dive into culture, nature and vineyards, with the “Heroes” trekking in the Segonzano area. A circular tour of six kilometers And 300 meters of altitude difference departing from Pyramids of Segonzano.

During the route you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of this extraordinary natural phenomenon and then reach the town of Segonzano, visit the Church of the Santissima Trinità di Stedro and get off at Saletto for a first food and wine stop.

From there you will reach Piazzo for a visit to the Segonzano Castle and a new break at the suggestive Barone cellar in Prato. Last stretch, finally, to reach the final typical lunch at the Kiosco le Piramidi.

Original walk also in the afternoon, from 4pm to 7.30pmwith “From the vineyard to the cellar…at an alpaca’s pace” edited by Silpaca. A trek through the Cembra vineyards in the company of Ilaria Baldo’s soft animals, with a final tasting in the Cembra mountain winery.

At 18 instead it will be time to find out what the winners among the 61 participants in the 21st Müller Thurgau International Wine Competitionwith a tasting led by the talented Andrea Amadeiprofessional sommelier, speaker of Decanter, face of “È semper cena” on Rai 1 and curator of the contents of the magazine “The Art of Wine”.

Will follow, starting from 8pm the proposal “Dining with the stars”, three-course food and wine tourcreated by Enogastronomia Zanotelli, interspersed with dance performance of young champions from the Ritmomisto school.

The dinner, by reservation and with table service, can be combined with one selection of wines recommended by Amadei.

Starting from 10pm, thanks to the precious collaboration with the Istituto Tutela Grappa del Trentino, “Grappa becomes a cocktail”, with four proposals created by the well-known barman Leonardo Veronesito get to know a new side of the Trentino distillate.

To accompany the tasting, the soul, funk and rock sound by DJ Cocca and its vinyls.

Sunday morning from 10am, it will instead be dedicated to exploring the area by e-bike with “Cellars in the saddle”, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about Villa Corniole in Verla di Giovo, Moses of Ceola and finally Cembra mountain winery.

At each stop a short visit to the production site accompanied by a small tasting.

The kitchen will also be operational for all three days Rural Womenwith their local proposals: from spätzle with buckwheat flour to tagliolini with mushrooms, from mushroom risotto and Puzzone della Val di Fassa to Tonco de Pontesel with “Zingara” polenta, just to name a few.
