VITERBO – Something is moving in the capital, in particular in Piazza della Rocca, where this morning the end of the redevelopment works was announced by the mayor Chiara Frontini and the councilor Stefano Floris.
Sidewalks, road surfaces and green areas have been completed and the next step, as announced by Floris, will be the total recovery of the adjacent Piazza San Francesco and Via Braccia di S. Francesco, which have long been in disrepair.
Furthermore, as underlined by the first citizen, the market will soon be able to return to the historic center, right in Piazza della Rocca. “A useful piece to bring life back to the centre,” he declared. Certainly a small useful deterrent to restore even a little security following the increasingly frequent episodes of petty crime spread between Sacrario and San Faustino.
Among the other works announced, there is also the start – now imminent – of the construction of new car parks. Speaking of those present in Piazza della Rocca, restored in front of Palazzo Grandori, the two Viterbo administrators specified that they can be removed “if necessary” as soon as the new parking areas dedicated to visitors and residents are made available.
