Bad weather Brescia, roads closed due to landslide: the update on traffic

Bad weather and disruption, it’s not over yet: roads still blocked between Garda and Valsabbia. In the valley, the Provincial Road 31 between Bione and Agnosine has been closed since Sunday evening, following a landslide on the side of a private property just above the roadway. The images speak for themselves: the stability of the house above is also at risk. “The Sp31 – the Province of Brescia reports – will remain closed from km 5+050 to km 5+550 until the private individual carries out static checks on the house and secures his land, upstream of the roadway”.

Roads closed also on Garda

Private intervention will also be necessary in the locality of San Procolo in San Felice del Benaco, on the road that leads from Raffa di Puegnago to the town. It is here that, due to heavy rain, on Sunday afternoon a retaining wall literally collapsed onto the roadway, which was completely blocked: the landslide affected the land of 4 houses. As per the municipal ordinance, the road section will be closed to traffic (pedestrian and vehicular) until further notice, or rather until it is (re)made safe: it could take up to a month.

Finally, the Gardesano section (Ss45bis) between Via del Seminario and Renzano, in the Salò area, is still closed, but ready to reopen on Friday evening. As reported by Anas, the national autonomous company for state roads which has jurisdiction over the route, the road should reopen on Friday from 6pm. Until then, further inconveniences, queues and slowdowns are expected.
