In Monteleone an evening dedicated to monumental trees

On Friday at 9pm in Piazza Byron di Monteleone and in the setting of its old lime trees, including the one saved from felling two years ago, an open-air conference will be held on the theme of monumental trees in the Emilia Romagna region, on the initiative of the Il Borgo association Odorous APS. The invited speaker is Sergio Guidi, agronomist and biodiversity expert, president of the Patriarchi della Natura association (www.patriarchinatura.it) which deals with the protection and valorisation of Italian monumental trees. Originally from Predappio, he has lived and worked in Forlimpopoli for years. It will be interesting to listen to the story of the monumental trees of our Region, including the Cesena hills, and learn to know better and better the importance of these ‘great old men’ for the well-being of human beings and of life as we know it even in the face of the obvious and rapid climate changes we are witnessing. To make the evening even more pleasant, Il Borgo odoroso APS has planned a pre-event dinner in the panoramic garden of one of the members a short distance from Piazza Byron (at 7.45pm, limited places, reservations at 380.1227025, or [email protected] ) At the end of the evening, tasting of the ice cream offered by the new sponsor ‘Jessica’s ice cream’ which has just opened its third laboratory in via Mazzoni in Cesena.
