This afternoon, at 6.30 pm, the cloister of San Domenico will host the presentation of Roberto Vecchioni’s latest book, “Between silence and thunder”.

This afternoon, at 6:30 p.m., the cloister of San Domenico will host the presentation of Roberto Vecchioni’s latest book, “Tra il silenzio e il tuono”, published by Einaudi. The meeting promises to be a moment of intense emotion and reflection, marking the start of a summer full of cultural events organized by the Museo Archeologico Lametino.

AN EPISTOLARY JOURNEY INTO THE SOUL OF OLD PEOPLE

Vecchioni, beloved author and singer-songwriter, returns with a new epistolary novel that reveals the most intimate moments of his life. “Between silence and thunder” is a collection of letters that the author writes to himself and his loved ones, revealing his concerns and reflections as a son, husband, father and grandfather. This work, which follows successes such as “The Merchant of Light” (2015), “The Life You Love” (2016) and “Flying and Landing Lessons” (2020), offers a profound and sincere look at human resilience, on how to face adversity and find love for life.

ROBERTO VECCHIONI IN LAMEZIA: PROGRAM OF THE EVENING

The evening will begin with institutional greetings from the mayor of Lamezia Terme, Paolo Mascaro. This will be followed by speeches by Filippo Demma, Regional Director of Museums of Calabria, and Simona Bruni, Director of the Lametino Archaeological Museum, who will introduce the cultural context of the event. Prof. Stefania Mancuso, archaeologist and artistic director of Omniarch, will dialogue with Roberto Vecchioni. The event is free but, given the high demand, places are sold out. This testifies to the great interest aroused by the initiative and the public’s affection for Vecchioni.

A LARGE CULTURAL INITIATIVE

The meeting with Roberto Vecchioni it is only the first of a series of events that will enliven the summer at the Lametino Archaeological Museum. The Calabria Regional Museums Directorate has in fact entrusted the Omniarch company of Lamezia Terme, specialized in the valorisation of archeology and cultural heritage, with the organization of various activities that will enliven the coming months. Among these, educational workshops on ceramics and masterclasses on ancient communication, intended to involve a varied audience, from archeology enthusiasts to students and families, helping to spread greater awareness of cultural and historical values.
