The electoral result that the 5 Star Movement obtained in the Cosenza Ionian Sea demonstrates the concreteness of our action and the maturity of our political project. The last round gives us a councilor in Corigliano-Rossano, Lidia Sciarrotta, in support of the mayor Flavio Stasiand two councilors in Crosia: Mariateresa Cosentino and Antonio Graziani in the team led by Maria Teresa Aiello.
But it also gives us a MEP, Pasquale Tridico, also originally from the Ionian, from Scala Coeli to be precise, which with over 119 thousand preferences brought home an important result. This is what Davide Tavernise, regional councilor of the 5 Star Movement, claims.
“In Corigliano-Rossano – continues the note – as in Crosia, we will be part of the government majority and for the first time we will be able to directly influence the choices of the municipal administrations.
The credit for this result certainly goes to the women and men who have long supported the ideas of the 5 Star Movement and who today, in light of the territorial reorganisation, have been able to manage the transition phase by establishing a new course and subverting that national figure which reflect and for which a serious internal discussion is already underway.
Today, however, we cannot help but start from the data of the European elections where the Movement established itself as the first party in the provinces of Cosenza and Crotone. In this regard, it is essential to consider the excellent work carried out by the Provincial coordinator, Giuseppe Giorno, and by our Regional coordinator, Anna Laura Orrico, to whom we extend our thanks, and to all the members and members of the Territorial Groups for the commitment shown and the incessant desire to build a world of peace and solidarity”.
