It will be called “Atletico Lucca Women” the women’s section of Atletico Lucca and will make its debut in the 2024/2025 season with all the categories provided by the Italian Football Federation. Led by president Stefano Bartoli, the club will have around ninety members who will format the various teams, including the First Team, the Under 19, Under 17, Under 15 youth teams, and the youngest Under 12 and Primi Calci teams.

The good results achieved in the season just ended have attracted many girls, even from nearby provinces, a sign of significant growth in women’s football in the region. The Henderson facility will be the place where training and matches will take place for all the Atletico Lucca Women teams.

The objective of the project is to ensure continuity and development for the players, creating a “single pole” aimed at all girls interested in football. The initiative received the support of the Federation, the Ministry of Equal Opportunities and the municipal administration, which showed appreciation for the development of women’s football in Lucca. The season just ended was particularly positive, culminating with the victory of the Coppa Toscana by the Under 17 team.

The names of the coaches and instructors who will give life to this new adventure, which has all the requirements to become an important initiative for the area, will soon be announced. Furthermore, further important initiatives relating to the newborn will be communicated “Atletico Lucca Women“.
