Two psychologists to deal with the introductory and preparatory interviews for the entry of abusive men into the program, two others who instead deal with the management and conduct of meetings between groups and a fifth person who maintains relationships with the wives or partners of those who decide to undertake the path, so that they are kept constantly updated. This is how the team that deals with the “Dico tra Noi” service is formed, born in Pesaro in 2021 through the L’Armadio project, which since 2023 has been part of a larger project, organized at a regional level, called Cuav (Men’s Center for Authors of Violence) Marche.

An experimental project carried out with the contribution of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Department for Equal Opportunities, which sees the Territorial Area of the Province of Macerata as the lead body, designed to work in a network to combat the phenomenon of violence against women and minors. The treatment path, in fact, has as its main objective the interruption of violence, but is intended as a broader process in order to re-educate the perpetrator of violence and reduce the possibility of recidivism. “For the Pesaro project, resources for approximately 45 thousand euros have been allocated this year – as explained by the head of the service Simone Poggiali – but these are funds for which we are unable to give answers to all those who have turned to us, and there are many who are waiting for the activation of a second listening group. As for the ministerial funds for this project, unfortunately they are not structural and we already know that for 2025 there will be strong cuts. However, the Region is committed to covering this loss”.

The “Dico tra Noi – Cuav” service in Pesaro is located in via Sirolo inside the spaces of the Noi domani foundation and is open from Monday to Friday, from 10 to 18 (Thursday from 9 to 12). It is possible to contact it at the number 342-1093007 or at the e-mail address: [email protected].
