And 650 thousand euro seizure at the expense of a Entrepreneur from Carpidecided by the investigating judge at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, investigated for failure to submit the VAT declaration and concealment or destruction of accounting records. The entrepreneur was the director of two companies active in the sector of marketing of spare parts for motor vehicles.
The investigation The precautionary measure against the Carpi entrepreneur has been triggered after two tax audits carried out by the Financial Police from the Carpi companywhich have allowed the existence of a fraudulent scheme aimed at tax evasion to emerge, by failing to comply with any tax obligation.
In essence, according to what has been reconstructed by the investigators, the scheme put into action by the Carpi entrepreneur previewed the purchase of spare parts of VAT-exempt motor vehicles, claiming that they were intended for markets outside the European Union: in reality, the goods were then sold to Italian companies, issuing invoices indicating VAT, which was collected but not paid to the treasury.
Altered competition A fraudulent mechanism, according to what was reconstructed by the Guardia di Finanza of the Carpi company, according to which the two companies managed by the Carpi entrepreneur were therefore able to apply particularly advantageous sales prices, altering free competition between operators in the sector.
Quote a San Marino However, other aspects also emerged during the investigation: since financial resources and company shares of the investigated entrepreneur in San Marino emerged, the judicial cooperation channel was also activated for the simultaneous execution of the provision abroad. In this way, thanks also to the collaboration with the San Marino judicial authority, sums in current accounts and company shares for a total of 100 thousand euros were seized.
