Not just the Castellana, where in the late evening of Tuesday 25 June the Avenale flooded, causing the flooding of the historic center of Castelfranco and the Bella Venezia area.

The bad weather also caused damage and inconvenience in the rest of the Marche.

Trains in chaos

From dawn on Wednesday 26th, trains canceled or delayed by at least 40 minutes on the Udine-Venice and Belluno-Venice lines.

Tree on the car in Maser

Fear a Maser where on Tuesday 25th, in the late afternoon, a large tree fell and broke on top of a parked carcausing serious damage to the bodywork.

It happened at the intersection of via De Gasperi and via Pascoli, in the hamlet of Madonna della Salute south of the Marosticana-Schiavonesca Priula provincial road. From the nearby house they ran out as soon as they heard the bang and saw it the car with the smashed windshield and that large trunk snapped in two right above the bodywork. The local police and the Carabinieri then intervened to verify what had happened.

«We will have to understand why that tree fell», says the mayor of Maser, Claudia Benedos, «from what they told me there were 30 seconds of very strong wind».

In the rest of the area there were branches falling and temporary flooding of roads due to the violent storms that hit the area, but nothing comparable to what was risked in Maser: if there had been people in the passenger compartment or if had the tree hit a moving car it would have been a tragedy. The accident occurred just as a meeting was underway in the town hall between the flood victims of mid-May, the mayor Claudia Benedos, the president and the managers of the Piave Consortium.
