“The Matera Association Best friends finally has a new headquarters in via Bari 81-85 in Matera in municipal premises”.
These are the words of the Mayor of Matera, Domenico Bennardi, which says:
“I am truly happy not only because it’s an association that does a lot of good for the community with very useful and accessible cardiac analyses for all but also because it is a beautiful story, a story of legality and transparency where the model of tenders for the assignment of municipal properties won.
A big thank you to all the volunteers of the association Friends of the Heart and their great president Paolo Loiodice. A beautiful story to remember.
On municipal heritage we are waging a real cultural battle of radical change, probably unpopular but courageous, which aims to oppose direct concessions for “friendly” relationships.
So while many associations and young people ask for spaces, we purchased software for the reconnaissance and management of all municipal properties and began to obtain the first compensation for previous financial arrears (from accommodation facilities and commercial activities), respecting an important point of our electoral program.
For this I thank the heritage councilor Angela Mazzone, the litigation councilor Pistone and the municipal heritage office.
The presence of councilors Doria, Visaggi and Montemurro is also important for an inauguration that belongs to the whole city without political distinctions”.
