In Catania, on the Plaia coast, a new inclusive adventure park is born: it is called “Betrayal” – which in the Manding language means “beautiful and good” – is located at the Don Bosco Colony (viale Presidente Kennedy 55) and was created thanks to Tourabilitythe project financed by the department of family and social and labor policies of the Sicily Region and by the presidency of the council of ministers to expand the offer of accessible tourism on the island.

Beteyà Park is a tree village specifically for children, with six different paths immersed in nature, bridges and pulleys created between the trees, accessible walkways, a climbing wall and a path created for people with disabilities. The park is a few meters from the sea and is designed to involve everyone in a fun, safe and stimulating experience.

Beteyà Park joins the 10 beaches selected between Catania and Palermo by the Tourability project to promote the development of barrier-free tourist destinations. Reception, support and creative workshops organized by Spazio 47 will be launched within the various accessible locations. Training internships coordinated by CPIA Catania 2 are also starting up, which will involve 30 people with disabilities for targeted placement (15 in Catania and 15 in Palermo) in the beaches of the Plaia and Mondello coasts and in other structures that will participate in inclusion activities.

Beteyà Park will be inaugurated today at 5:00 p.m. The event will be attended by the Archbishop of Catania Luigi Renna, the Imam of Catania Abdelhafid Kheit, the former regional councilor for family and social and labor policies Antonio Scavone, the councilor for social services, social inclusion and family of the Municipality of Catania Bruno Brucchieri, the councilor for public education of the Municipality of Catania Andrea Guzzardi, the inspector of the Salesians of Sicily Giovanni D’Andrea, the president of Don Bosco 2000 (project leader) Agostino Sella and Francesco Cauchi, advisor of the Tourability project.
