Pescara. Clean Up the Gap: for inclusive sustainability: this is the title of the initiative with which the SAI Center for refugees Lape Dream, of the Municipality of Pescara, managed by the diocesan Caritas of Pescara-Penne, invites all citizens for three opportunities for active participation through the cleaning and care of 3 different city parks.

First appointment on Saturday 8 June from 10 to 12 at the Villa De Riseis Park. It will continue on Monday 10 June from 3pm to 5pm in the Villa Sabucchi Park and will end on Wednesday 12 June, again from 3pm to 5pm, inside the former Caserma Di Cocco Park.

“The initiative – he explains Corrado De Dominicis, director of the diocesan Caritas – was born as part of the celebrations of World Refugee Day 2024 as testimony to the commitment of refugees for the territory and as thanks to the city that hosts them, taking care of them and making itself available to make three parks in Pescara more clean and usable for the community. These three citizen moments are undoubtedly a further possibility of active welcome, social cohesion, sharing and knowledge”.
