BUSTO ARSIZIO, 2 July 2024-The Residenza Sorriso dei Bimbi in Alassio reopens with new management: the Administration has in fact approved the concession of the management of the residence and the beach to RTI RESIDENZA SORRISO BIMBI for two years starting from June 22nd.
Currently the structure, donated by the Borri family to the Municipality in 1953, can accommodate up to 100 guests per shift (including educators and dependent staff).
The Municipality also owns the maritime state concession of a beach located near the “Passeggiata Ciccione”, the license for which is extended until 12/31/2033.
This is a new location, more central, compared to the previously assigned beach which was located on the border with Laigueglia.
“The season is starting again, our goal was to continue to keep the structure open. In these monthsthe change of the beach agreed with the Municipality of Alassio it has materialized, the space is larger than the previous one and we had to carry out some works that are about to be concluded” commented the Councilor for Social Inclusion Paola Reguzzoni.
“In the coming months we will publish an expression of interest to assess whether there are entities interested in a multi-year management with a project financing that includes the renovation of the building, which is more necessary than ever to be able to accommodate different audiences and without failing to use the structure for social purposes – continued the councilor -. In the meantime, the citizens of Busto are invited to stay in Alassio at truly affordable prices”.
The dealer will in fact have to apply a fixed per capita rate of €381.00 plus VAT per week, including half board for minors and families residing in Busto Arsizio, and guarantee them some additional benefits, such as the elimination of the cost for sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach or the full board service for children at the same rate as half board.
For non-residents of the Municipality of Busto Arsizio the dealer may apply increased rates.

The concessionaire will be able to offer stays respecting the purposes indicated in the notarial deeds of 1953 and in 2011 and in the guidelines defined by the Municipal Council recently, which establish that, in addition to welcoming and providing assistance to the children of the City of
Busto Arsizio, it is possible to use the Colony also “for further social purposes, such as accommodation for the elderly or disabled people”.
In this regard, starting from tomorrow, July 3, the Colony will host for two weeks 35 children from Chernobyl, who are about to arrive in Italy thanks to the commitment of Antonio Tosi and the Aubam association of Busto Arsizio.
In July, the concessionaire will organize, at no cost to the Administration, climate stays for 15 minors sent by Social Services that include the 24-hour presence of educators, travel, food, accommodation and various activities to be carried out within the facility.
