Blue car parks, no fines for expired tickets: from today the courtesy notice is in force which will allow you to regularize the payment within the day

Stop fines for expired tickets in blue car parks. It is the effect of the entry into force, starting this morning, of the courtesy notice, which will allow payment to be regularized throughout the day, within the maximum time of 8.30pm.

A measure strongly desired by the Administration and arrived at the end of a complex process and an in-depth discussion with the Prefecture, the traffic office, the local police and the legal profession, aimed at finding a solution that would balance the need to meet to citizens with that of complying with the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court and arriving at a provision free from the risk of litigation or appeals.

“An objective that cannot be taken for granted – underline the Mayor Gianguido D’Alberto and the Councilor Antonio Filipponi – achieved thanks to the collaboration of everyone, starting from Easy Help, and which is aimed at all those citizens who, after having parked, for reasons independent of the their will, they are unable to get the car back within the ticket expiry time.”

Starting today, therefore, when the traffic officer, during checks, detects an expired ticket, he will issue a courtesy notice, on which a specific code will be shown, which will allow the motorist to remedy his position , paying the amount due from the expiration of the ticket to the moment in which it goes to regularization. To the latter, a surcharge will be applied, foreseen by all the Municipalities that adopt the courtesy notice and which the Municipality of Teramo has set at 3 euros, a sum lower than that requested by other entities.

The user will have the possibility to pay the sum due using the parking meter or, alternatively, by connecting to the appropriate online portal www.portalepagamenti.it or by going to the Teramo Parcheggi office in Piazzale San Francesco, open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00 and on Saturdays from 8:00 to 14:00.

The courtesy warning will only apply in the case of an expired ticket, while for the missing ticket, as required by the Highway Code, the relevant sanction will remain.
