Heat is increasing and Sicily is gasping for air due to the anticyclone Minos which reaches its maximum strength bringing temperatures close to 40 degrees and a red mark in Palermo, orange in Catania and Messina. In a nutshell, these are the weather forecasts for Friday 21 June on the island.
Sun and clouds will characterize the day with mostly clear skies. Thus begins the summer in Sicily also according to the calendar. Specifically, on the Tyrrhenian coast, the Ionian coast, the southern coast, on the Apennines and inland areas, mostly clear or slightly cloudy skies for the entire day.

Temperatures rising, highs near 40 degrees

38 degrees are expected in Agrigento, 38 in Caltanissetta, 38 in Catania, 35 in Enna, 35 in Messina, 32 in Palermo, 38 in Ragusa, 39 in Syracuse, 30 in Trapani.

North. The subtropical anticyclone Minos gives way and so on this day the weather will tend to gradually worsen with a sharp increase in cloud cover and the arrival of sometimes very strong thundershowers which will move from the North-West to the Triveneto in the evening and night. Saturday 22 June
North. The pressure gradually begins to decrease, therefore the day will be characterized by general good weather conditions with clear skies. During the afternoon, thunderstorms with hail will begin to develop and then explode which will reach many areas of the Po Valley from the Alpine sectors towards the evening and night. Hot summer climate, not sultry. Libeccio in Liguria with rough seas.
Center and Sardinia. Our regions are still protected from the anticyclone, but winds are also blowing from the northern quadrants which are starting to mitigate the great heat. The day will be characterized by general good weather conditions, in fact the sky will be predominantly clear or at most slightly cloudy in all regions. General temperature drop, winds from the north and seas at times rough.
South and Sicily. The African anticyclone Minos continues to affect our regions and so the day will once again be marked by good weather, the sun will have no problem shining in a sky that will be predominantly clear everywhere. The winds will blow weakly from the north, there will be a drop in temperature. The seas will be calm or slightly rough.
