Here comes the central Ngolongolo! – Women’s Volleyball League Serie A

Hermaea Olbia is pleased to announce the first new entry in the roster for the 2024/2025 Serie A2 championship: French centre Naomi Ngolongolo will also be available to coach Dino Guadalupi, who has played for Levallois Paris-Saint Cloud in recent years, where she won the national title last April under the guidance of Italian coach Alessandro Orefice.

THE BOARD – Born on December 26, 2002, 188 centimeters tall, Ngolongolo took her first steps at Pôle de Châtenay-Malabry before moving to the Institut Féminin de Volley-ball (IFVB) in Toulouse. She then joined Saint-Cloud Paris, where she made her debut in the French Elite championship during the 2018-2019 season. With “Les Mariannes” she grew step by step, carving out a role for herself in the team that beat Nantes in the final last spring to win its first, historic French title. In addition to coach Orefice, the Sardinian coach Matteo Pentassuglia, formerly of Hermaea, will guide her on the bench.

THE STATEMENTS – Naomi Ngolongolo: “I wanted to take on a new adventure outside my country. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone, discover a new championship and take on a different experience. In Italy I expect to grow both personally and professionally. I can’t wait to compete at a high level and enrich my technical knowledge. I would like to improve my skills by helping the team achieve its goals. I know that Sardinia is a beautiful island, renowned for its landscapes and sea. It will be nice to discover something more about this land. On the court I like to encourage my teammates and always maintain a positive attitude, even in difficult moments. Outside of volleyball, however, I like to spend my free time with family and friends: their support is essential for me. I also like listening to music, going to the movies and taking long walks”.
