Up to this moment he has not exposed himself too much except in the classic conferences, but at Corriere dello Sport the former Napoli coach wanted to tell his version of events by speaking for the first time about what happened in the months he spent on the bench of the Neapolitan team. There was one situation in particular that made it difficult for him to do his job: “When I arrived, seven and a half months had already passed, with the results we know. I said over and over again that I encountered difficulties and problems that I didn’t expect to find. Do you know what caused the worst damage? The obligation of having to constantly chase victory, due to the largely compromised ranking, put the group in crisis“.
The victory to be achieved at all costs influenced Calzona and also the rest of the team, tested physically and mentally by an objective that they were unable to achieve.
