6/17/2024 – In the first quarter of 2024, the turnover of the buildings highlights in Reggio Emilia a 5.3% drop compared to the same period of 2023. The decline, as attested by the Emilia Chamber of Commerce, appears more significant than that recorded at a regional level (-3%), just as the one relating to the craftsmanshipwith a –8% provincial compared to -5.5% in Emilia-Romagna.

The orientation of the companies regarding the evolution of their business in the following twelve months shows that 68% of the Reggio Emilia builders are more inclined to hypothesize stability, 21% for development, 7% who hypothesize a slowdown and 4% the withdrawal from the market. For artisans in the sector, the forecasts are stability for 81%, increase for 12% and possible withdrawal from the market for the remaining part.

The forecasts on the trend of business volume for the second quarter of 2024 they show that 70% of Reggio Emilia builders are more likely to hypothesize stability (71% regional), 12% for development (18% regional), while 18% hypothesize a slowdown, against 11% regional.

For artisans in the sector, 75% of those interviewed predict stability (74% regional), 11% predict development (13% regional) and 15% hypothesize a slowdown (14% regional).
